Expert care, ethically delivered

Comfort they deserve.

The Essentials:

grooming before and after

Sunflower Paws Parlour has been built with animal rights at the heart of everything we do. Our processes have been designed to meet each of the Five Welfare Needs under The Animal Welfare Act 2006 Legislation:

1. A suitable environment:

our salon is a safe, secured, hygienic space for your pups.

2. A suitable diet:

we always have fresh water available and a selection of tasty treats to hand.

3. To be able to exhibit normal behaviour patterns:

with dedicated scheduled breaks, every groom is taken at the dog's pace.

4. To be housed with, or apart from, other animals:

we offer one-to-one grooms and happily work around what your pup is most comfortable with.

5. To be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease:

both mental and physical health is our highest priority. We always ensure all of our equipment is sterilised and checked before each use, and through all stages of a groom we commit to a safety-first approach.

EVIE:

FOUNDER & HEAD GROOMER:

Evie has a Level 2 City & Guilds and over 7 years of hands-on animal health care.

Not only is she a qualified dog trainer specialising in multiple areas, she is a certified

Pet First Aid and Canine Body Language instructor.

"Being a passionate animal rights advocate, it's been my mission since starting Rescue work at the age of 16 to always help animals. When I started Sunflower Paws in 2022 I realised how much improvement the professional animal care industry needs... So what was once my little side hustle, turned into a lovely team of hand-picked professionals, soon expanding into pet transportation; 1-1 dog training, and my animal education academy followed.

Now it's naturally lead to tackling the final (& arguably biggest!) corner of the industry that was left - grooming!.. And oh what a lot of work it needs! Creating this branch and designing my Grooming X Training Hybrid process has been a huge passion project that I truly hope changes the standards not only in this area, but far and wide too.

Choosing a compassionate, animal-centred, ethical grooming approach has a far bigger impact than just your dog's experience - it supports the importance of everyone's safety, fair workers rights, the impact of each client's voice, and all round encourages better standards for animal care across the board - which is always what we need more of!

I can't wait to get working with you all and welcome you into my sunny salon space!"
