“After working in Rescue throughout my teen years, I moved on to create Sunflower Paws in 2022 which has rapidly snowballed into a very successful five-figure business. This has provided paid opportunities within the animal care industry for my team of up to 14 staff members at our height in 2024. Most importantly we have cared for hundreds of animals (all shapes and sizes!) across Thanet and surrounding areas.
I am proud to work with a strictly positive reinforcement approach, strengthened by my animal rights background. I am a certified Dog Trainer with the Dog Training College, a DTC Instructor in Pet First Aid and Canine Body Language, as well as an approved CPD provider for Sunflower Paws – Academy and Enrichment.
My focus is providing a stress-free experience for both you and your companion. I aim to become a part of your family, understand each little quirk, and leave you feeling happy after every visit.”

“I’ve always been an animal lover, but dogs have a special place in my heart. I grew up with the most beautiful, playful Labrador, Jessie, and after she passed in 2016, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to caring for animals. While studying at university, I started dog boarding in the Netherlands, where I had the privilege of working with hundreds of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities—along with other wonderful pets. That experience, combined with my training degree, has allowed me to offer not just dog walking and sitting, but also training to help reinforce positive behaviours and build confidence. My goal is to make life easier for both you and your furry friends, giving them all the love, care and guidance they deserve. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your furry family and become part of their routine!”

"I have always had a great love for all animals and have had a number of cats for many years. It has always been my dream to have a dog but while I waited for that moment to arrive, I dived into as many opportunities as I could, walking my boyfriend's dog for years and helping out with the family friends' 5 beautiful dogs as well as their many rescue farmyard animals. Our lovely rescue dog Hazel came to us just last year but it has been everything I have ever wanted and more. Hazel is giving us all a challenge in terms of her training and has pushed us, however, it’s all worth it for the lovely dog that she is. I am really looking forward to meeting and caring for your pets."

"Working with dogs has been one of my life's best decisions. Since I was little I enjoyed the company of animals, I grew up with cats and dogs in my family home, and always took an active interest in my friends dogs - I still walk some of their family pets today! Whilst travelling Australia in 2022 I was lucky enough to work in a variety of pet care roles such as doggy day care and grooming, which was where I realized my calling as an animal carer. Now back in the UK my full time job is with Dogs Trust in Canterbury where I take a hands on role of caring for the dogs' kennel cleanliness, feeding and keeping them active with enriching activities. I have been working with Sunflower Paws since March this year [2023] and have really enjoyed working with dogs in my local community to ensure they are exercised, fed and looked after when their parents aren't around."

Working at Sunflower Paws since March '23, we have loved taking on the role of emergency back-up cover, supporting Evie, the team, and most importantly you, the clients!"
